The ultimate low-maintenace perennial which can tolerate most soil types. The straight and strong stems bear 15 bell-shaped white flowers. Combine them with plants of constrasting colours for a stunning effect. If a Spanish hyacinth is happy in its place, it multiplies freely by forming tiny bulbs on the mother bulb, or produce seed. It is suitable for cutting, but keep it away from fruit. Some types of fruit exhale ethylene gas which shortens the vase life of cut flowers.
