Low maintenance does not imply dullness. Allium Neapolitanum, also known
as Naples Garlic, is a good example. This lovely ornamental onion bridges the
gap between spring and summer and will flower until your summer flowers are in
bloom. A strong plant that will tolerate a rather dry and less fertile soil. It
has a distinctive flower with loosely arranged clusters of star-shaped flowers
and a lovely green heart. Quite unexpectedly, this member of the onion and
garlic family has a sweet fragrance.
